IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING COMMITMENT FOR SHOWS!
CYT is an after-school theater arts training program for students ages 4-18.
Auditions are only open to students that are registered for the session. You must understand that when you audition you are commiting
to the summer session of classes as well, WHETHER OR NOT YOU ARE CAST IN THE CURRENT PRODUCTION.
Our primary goal in
this program is character development which includes follow-through on commitment. Although our class schedule may not end until after
the stage production every student is committed to attend classes and perform in the showcase on the last class day. (Summer
session does not have a showcase.) (Some classes may not require a showcase.)
The classes we offer are high quality and fun. Your child
will love the classes, they will learn new techniques and skills for stage performance as well as build confidence for the future
show auditions. The director takes into consideration when casting a show many things including whether a student gives their very
best, cooperates with the artistic team, keeps a positive, team attitude and honors commitments.
Our class size is limited so to improve
your chances of getting the class you want we recommend that you register in advance. You may also register at auditions.

regarding parent involvement.
REHEARSAL SCHEDULE:
CYT Jr.
Rehearsals begin Thursday, April 2. Rehearsals days are after classes
on Tuesdays until 8:30, Fridays from 5:00-9:00 and Saturdays 9:00-Noon.
Your child will probably not be scheduled for every
rehearsal. Rehearsal requirements will depend upon the role they have in the show.
It is VERY important that you check you calendars
prior to auditioning. There is a section on the audition form for you to list any conflicts. The director takes these dates
into consideration when casting and any dates listed as conflicts will be allowed absenses.
PARENT INVOLVEMENT

Parent involvement is essential with CYT, and one of the elements that makes it distinctive from other programs. Parents are
required to attend a parent meeting and to help out with the production. The mandatory parent meeting for the spring session
for Jack and the Beanstalk parents will be Thursday, April 2 at 6:30 at Midway Community Church. You must be there if your child is
cast in the show! These meetings are essential. They are working meetings where committees are formed, organized and launched.
This is what makes CYT unique and successful.
