CYT offers classes in drama, music, dance, technical theater and so much more. Learn from experienced teachers, performers and technicians while having FUN.

Every session (fall, winter and spring) CYT offers 10-week theater arts classes to children & youth ages 4 - 18. These two hour after-school classes are held Tuesday 4:30-6:30 at Boulevard Baptist Church in Anderson. On the final week of classes, students will display a portion of what they’ve learned by participating in a SHOWCASE for family and friends.

Classes may include but are not limited to:

• Stunts and Combat

• Makeup

Enrolled students, ages 8 – 18, have the opportunity to audition for a CYT Broadway-style musical!

NOTE: You must be enrolled in a CYT class in order to be eligible to audition for a show. No auditions are required for classes.

There will be a $20 processing fee on all refunds plus each class attended by student will be prorated and deducted from your refund. STUDENTS WHO AUDITION FOR OUR PRODUCTION ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR A REFUND. There will be no refunds after the start of the third class.

Below you will find descriptions of the classes being offered for the spring session. Please select a first and a second choice. To reserve a spot for your child, send the registration form along with the $135 tuition. Spaces in each class are limited, so register early. Spaces will not be held until full tuition is received.

IT'S A BUG'S LIFE - CLASS ENDS AT 5:45 ($75)
This class will include lots of fun activities that will help develop confidence, team work, singing and dancing. After they have had the teaching portion of their class they will gather with the 6 & 7-year-olds to work on a showcase for parents to see on the last class day.
TEACHER: Jessica Wayland will be teaching. She is a senior at TL Hanna who is a teacher cadet and the winner of the Miss TL Hanna talent competition. She has had CYT theater training since 2004 and has had many leading roles in our shows. Her most recent being the queen in The Emperor's New Threads and Leisle in The Sound of Music.
