CYT Anderson, PO Box 5144, Anderson, SC
29623
CYT Anderson will have its spring session classes on Tuesdays. Classes begin February 26 and end May 13. Registration will remain open until the beginning of class on March 11, however, auditions will be held Friday, FEBRUARY 15 for High School Musical and February 18 for Sleeping Beauty. Auditions are for CYT students only. The cost is $130.00 for the session of 10 classes, each class is 2 hours. There is a limit to class size so early registration is highly recommended. Students will present a Showcase on the last class day for parents, friends, and family. Classes are held at Boulevard Baptist Church at 700 Boulevard in Anderson. There will be a new parent/student meeting held on the first class day, right after registration to orient you to the program. Parent involvement is essential with CYT, and one of the elements that makes it distinctive from other programs. There are two mandatory parent meetings for the students that audition and are cast.
Be sure to bring your child's MEDICAL/PHOTO RELEASE FORM to first class day or audition (whichever comes first). If your child comes
to CYT the first day of class/audition and does NOT have his/her MEDICAL/PHOTO RELEASE FORM, he/she will NOT be allowed to attend
class or audition. At least one parent must attend with each student at sign-up. (This is for sign-up only. The parent does not need
to attend every class or rehearsal.) At the new parent meeting, you will meet CYT staff, ask any questions, obtain any new information,
and receive an overview of CYT. You will also be given details about the show to be produced this session, auditions, and parent commitments
necessary for show participation.
Below you will find a list of classes being offered for the winter session. Please select one class from this list. To reserve
a spot for your child, send the REGISTRATION FORM along with the $130 tuition. Spaces in each class are limited, so register early.
Spaces will not be held until full tuition is received.
Classes for the 2007/2008 season will be held at Boulevard Baptist Church at 700 Boulevard in Anderson. (The corner of Greenville
Street and Boulevard.)
CYT is a privilege, and only good behavior is allowed. Respect for teachers, staff, parents, and fellow students is expected. Honoring
language will be used. No name calling or profanity is allowed. CYT expects participants' conduct to be respectful of property, and
any damage will be expected to be repaired or replaced by participant. CYT expects purity in relationships with others and with one's
own body, therefore, drugs, alcohol, and smoking are strictly prohibited. Overt physical contact is inappropriate at CYT activities.
CYT students are expected to dress appropriately and modestly. CYT students that are cast in the show are required to attend their
CYT class for the entire 10 week session and to be present for the showcase on the last class day.
